Abstract
Post-graduate PharmD programs in Canada have been mostly eliminated due to the emergence of entry-level PharmD programs. This has left a gap in the availability of advanced clinical training opportunities for pharmacists to pursue after the completion of a year 1 residency. Such training may include year 2 residencies, clinical Master’s programs, and fellowships. Through a survey of recent residency graduates and a survey and interviews of pharmacy leaders, we investigated the perceived need for advanced clinical pharmacy training opportunities in BC as well as the desired types of advanced training programs.
