Island Health Pharmacy Residency Program patricipates in the Pharmacy Residency Application and Matching Service (PRAMS) which is a national application and matching service that provides a coordinated process to help applicants obtain positions in programs of their choice. PRAMS als helps programs obtain applicants of their choice.

Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacy (CSHP) provides this service to streamline applicant information gathering and optimize matching between residency candidates and Canadian Pharmacy Residency programs.

Approximate dates & timelines for the PRAMS application process:

• PRAMS Opens to Applicants in early August
• PRAMS Closes for Application Submission in early October

That's why CSHP has created a roadmap to help you navigate this highly competitive process.  For greater understanding and practical, hands-on learning, the course offers didactic sessions as well as take home activities focused on the detailed workings of residency programs and applications. The course will hone your practical skills in mock interviews and personal branding/marketing take-home activities. You will also get a chance to write both a Cover Letter and Letter of Intent and receive individualized feedback from practicing pharmacists -- all to help you present your best self with ease and confidence.
