The Application Process
The application process is centralized by the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacy (CSHP) through the Pharmacy Residency Application and Matching Service (PRAMS).
The Pharmacy Residency Application and Matching Service (PRAMS) is a national, application and matching service that provides an coordinated process to help applicants obtain positions in programs of their choice and to help programs obtain applicants of their choice. CSHP provides this service to streamline applicant information gathering and optimize matching between residency candidates and Canadian Pharmacy Residency programs. No additional requirements or documents are needed when completing the Pharmacy Residency Application and Matching Service (PRAMS) application. The deadline to apply to a residency program is usually the second Monday in October at 5:00 p.m. EST. The application deadline for the 2019-2020 is 5:00 pm EST on Tuesday, October 15th 2019. Interview offers will be sent out to applicants in mid-November, with interviews taking place at in early December at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences building at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C. Limited telephone interviews are available for those who cannot attend the interview in person.
